Production and Office Assistant
We are currently seeking a Production and Office Assistant to join the team and work on our expanding list of productions, while supporting the directors in the smooth and efficient running of the company.
The ideal candidate will be hardworking and keen to learn, with a desire to work as part of a team and willingness to get involved in a wide range of tasks across multiple projects. They will have excellent attention to detail, time management and multitasking, and be skilled in written, numeracy and verbal communication, with good computer literacy. They also need to have a positive attitude and to want a role working to the highest standards while having fun in the process!
Previous industry experience is essential for the position as is a knowledge of the production process and enthusiasm and passion for the industry.
This role is ideal for someone who has previously held a similar position in the industry and is now looking to develop their career in this field.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• To draft and manage show-related paperwork, including contracts, schedules, contact sheets and other materials;
• To coordinate and organise the payment of show related invoices;
• To reconcile credit card expenditure and petty cash, as required;
• To arrange and minute meetings, as necessary and coordinate company schedules and the directors’ diaries;
• To coordinate, collate and file production-related documents;
• To book travel and accommodation for the company and as required on its productions;
• To book and organise audition and rehearsal space;
• To coordinate opening nights, including guest lists, tickets, parties and gifts and coordinate other events;
• To attend the company’s running productions on a regular basis;
• To compile content for theatre programmes;
• To be a point of contact for the company;
• To support in the day-to-day management of the company and its productions;
• Manage the smooth running of the office and all office systems and arrange maintenance or replacement of office equipment as appropriate;
• Respond to and facilitate house seat requests;
• Any other duties as reasonably requested.
ROLE DETAILS
• Fixed-term contract, to start as soon as possible;
• London-based company, with potential for occasional hybrid working;
• Hours: 10.00am to 6.30pm, Monday to Friday, with some work in the evenings, weekends and public holidays;
• £25,000 - £27,000 (depending on experience);
• 20 days’ holiday (pro rata).
